Campground: Wickiup Campground
Description: 4300-foot elevation. nine mixed-use campsites, four tent-only campsites, a picnic area, & a group day use area. Fishing in Canyon Creek or Middle Fork Canyon Creek, the two nearby streams. Trailhead for the Table Mountain Loop, a fairly strenuous hike with a great view of the surrounding mountains & canyons at the top. Hunting for mule deer & elk. Location: From John Day, go 16 miles south on Forest Road 15. Season: May 25 - October 31. Reservations: NO.
