| Description: 5000-foot elevation. 61 campsites, including two double sites & six tent-only sites, on the shores of the Lake of the Woods. The lake is a popular destination for fishing, boating, waterskiing, & swimming. A huge, wheelchair-accessible day use area is just to the south, at Rainbow Bay. Full resort facilities are near the Rainbow Bay day use area, including a store, marina, & a restaurant.
A trail into the Mountain Lakes Wilderness is accessible from Rainbow Bay. A trailhead on the west side of the lake accesses the Brown Mountain North Trail, & a trailhead north of the lake leads up into the Sky Lakes Wilderness.
In the winter, the Great Meadow sno-park is near the lake, & is a popular destination for skiing & snowmobiling. A sno-park pass is required to park at the trailhead from November- April.
Location: From Klamath Falls, go 32 miles northwest on OR 140, then one mile south on Forest Road 3704.
