| Description: Elevation is 4,832 feet. four single campsites on the west side of quiet Duncan Reservoir, & a group campsite below the dam. This no-wake lake is fantastic for taking out small boats & canoes, & fishing for stocked rainbow trout. Fishing from the banks is also generally good. Ice fishing is also possible if the weather gets cold enough.
Wildlife watching for numerous waterfowl nearby at the Buck Creek/Paulina Marsh interpretive area, & at the Summer Lake Wildlife Management Area. Wild horses range on BLM lands to the east of Summer Lake. Hunting in the area for small game, waterfowl & upland birds, antelope, & deer.
Location: From Silver Lake, go five miles east on OR 31, then five miles south on County Road 4-14, which is gravel & sometimes washboarded.
Season: late May - mid-September.
