Description: 5400-foot elevation. 55 campsites on the north end of Waldo Lake. Wonderful sandy beaches attract swimmers & sunbathers. Boating & fishing in the large & scenic lake. A one-mile trail joins Islet & North Waldo Campgrounds, providing a pleasant hike along the lakeshore. The RV dump station is one mile before the campground. Location: From Oakridge, go 25 miles east on OR 58, 11 miles north on Forest Road 5897 (Waldo Lake Road), & about 1.5 miles west on FR 5898. Season: July - September (or first heavy snow.
