Campground: Mc Kenzie Ranger District, Willamette National Forest, Ice Cap Creek Campground
Description: 3000-foot elevation. eight tent-only campsites near the Wild & Scenic McKenzie River. Fishing is open for catch & release trout, & for steelhead from April 22 - October 31 & is restricted to artificial flies & lures. Hiking on McKenzie River National Recreation Trail, which goes north to Clear Lake & south to the McKenzie Ranger Station. Carmen Reservoir, just south of the campground, is open for fishing & non-motorized boating year round. Just north of the campground are the lovely Koosah & Sahalie waterfalls. Location: From Eugene, go 65 miles east on OR 126, & turn left onto the campground access road. Season: May - September (depending on snow).Reservations: NO. Notes: Maximum RV length 30 feet.
