| Description: Elevation is 5200 feet. The Hyatt Lake Complex, at the northern end of the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument, offers 47 pull-in RV sites, seven walk-in tent sites, a horse camp site with four corrals & H2O, a group campsite, & a group day-use shelter with a kitchen & fireplace. Other facilities include a softball field, horseshoe pits, a basketball court, sand volleyball court, a playground. Sports equipment is available for rent. The ball field, a fire ring, & the group picnic area can all be reserved for a fee, but if no one has reservations, they are available for whoever gets there first. Horseshoes, volleyballs, & basketballs are available for use. A separate campground north of the main campground offers 12 primitive campsites & an unimproved boat launch.
Fishing in Hyatt Lake for stocked trout & for smallmouth bass. Hiking & horseback riding on the Pacific Crest Trail north to Howard Prairie Lake or south to Soda Mountain in the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument. In the winter, a marked snowmobile trail originates here. If you prefer non-motorized winter fun, the Table Mountain winter play area is two miles north of the campground, & is open for snow tubing, cross-country skiings, & for sledding in saucers, toboggans, & other sleds without metal runners. Fires permitted.
Location: From Ashland, take OR 66 east 17 miles , then north three miles on East Hyatt Lake Road.
Season: late April - October.
Reservations: no; free permit required for Table Mountain.
Notes: A 14 day camping limit is in effect for all campgrounds.Maximum group size 150 people.Not all pull-in sites can handle the maximum, but RVs up to 40 feet in length can be accommodated.
