| Description: 2200-foot elevation. nine campsites on the Breitenbush River. Fishing in the river for trout, with no limit on brook trout. The trailhead for the South Bretenbush Gorge National Recreation Trail is three miles east. The Breitenbush Hot Springs are near the trailhead, but are not recommended for soaking, being a scalding 198ºF.
Location: From Detroit, go nine miles east on Forest Road 46 (Breitenbush Road).
Season: May - September.
