Campground: Detroit Ranger District, Willamette National Forest, Cove Creek Campground
Description: 1600-foot elevation. 63 campsites with an adjacent group area on Detroit Reservoir. The reservoir has become a popular destination for all types of H2O sports including fishing, boating, swimming, H2O skiing, & personal watercraft (jet skis). Boat ramps available to the west at Southshore, & to the east at Hoover. Location: From Detroit, go 2.5 miles southeast on OR 22, then two miles west on Forest Road ten (Blowout Road). Season: April - September. Available: Fishing Picnicking Boating (Motorized) Hiking/Backpacking Boating (Non-motorized) Water Sports Camping Group Campgnd RV Sites Drinking Water Restrooms Showers. Notes: Group camping fees are $150 for up to 70 people. Managed in partnership with the Army Corps of Engineers & the State of Oregon Parks & Recreation Department.
