| Description: 5600-foot elevation. six campsites for campers planning to pack into the Three Sisters & Waldo Lake wildernesses, the Deschutes National Forest, or on the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail. Trailheads head off in all directions from the campground, open to foot & horse traffic alike. Water for campers & for horses is available near North Waldo campground. Horse facilities are undeveloped, so use a picket stake, a high line picket, or hobbles to restrain your horse rather than tying your horse to a tree.
Location: From Oakridge, go 25 miles east on OR 58, then 10.5 miles north on Forest Road 5897 (Waldo Lake Road) Waldo Lake Road.
