Campground: Lee Thomas Campground
Description: 6306 foot elevation. eight campsites along the North Fork of Sprague Wild & Scenic River. Lodgepole pine forest & meadow setting. Near trailhead that accesses the Dead Horse Rim Trail. Location: From Lakeview: Take Highway 140 West three miles, then turn right onto County Road 2-16. Go on County Road 2-16 for five miles. Turn left onto County Road 2-16A & within two miles, you will be on Forest Road 28. Follow Forest Road 28 for 19 miles to road 3428. Turn left & drive seven * miles to the intersection with road 34. Go straight through the intersection & you will be on road 3372. Continue for ten miles & turn right on road 3411. The campground is one mile on the right. Season: June one - October 31. Fee: none.
