Campground: Hood River Ranger District, Mt. Hood National Forest, Clear Lake Campground

Description: 3600-foot elevation. 28 campsites on Clear Lake. Boating & fishing on the lake. A trail from near the north end of the lake connects to the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail. In the winter, there are miles of ungroomed snow-covered roads & trails. Shellrock Creek & High Rock, off Forest Road 57, are also available to cross-country skiers & snowmobilers who can reach entry points. Location: From Sandy, go 64.5 miles east on US 26, then one mile south on Forest Road 2630. Season: May 13 - September 3. Available: Fishing Boating (Motorized) Hiking/Backpacking Boating (Non-motorized) Winter Sports Drinking Water RV Sites Restrooms Boat Ramp. Notes: 32-foot maximum RV length. A Sno-Park pass is required in the winter. Passes are $3/ day; $7/ 3-day, & $15/ season & are available from DMV & Forest Service offices & local sporting goods stores.
