| Description: Elevation: 1,200 feet. 17-unit campground with a new group use pavilion on Rock Creek in a forest of ferns, maple, oak, & fir trees. Wading in Rock Creek.
The Rock Creek Fish Hatchery is located several miles downstream & provides an opportunity to view juvenile fish & adult brood fish year-round, including chinook salmon, coho salmon, steelhead & rainbow trout. There is no entrance charge.
Fishing is not allowed in Rock Creek, but the North Umpqua corridor is open to bait & fly-fishing. Other possible area activities include whitewater rafting & kayaking, hiking on the North Umpqua Trail, watching semi-annual salmon runs, admiring Deadline Falls, & scenic driving for pleasure along the North Umpqua Scenic Byway.
Location: From Roseburg, go 22 miles east on OR 138, then 7.5 miles north on Rock Creek Road.
Season: May 15 - October 16.
