| Description: 240-foot elevation. Tyee, on the Umpqua River, has a year-round campground with 15 sites, a picnic area, & a new covered pavilion for groups of up to 50. An Eagle Scout project includes horseshoe pits & benches. River access to the Umpqua River for fishing & wading. Boat launches are available a few miles in either direction.
Flyfishing on the this portion of the Umpqua River is allowed for steelhead, coho salmon, & chinook salmon, but is closed for trout. Only adipose-clipped fish can be kept. Summer steelhead begin their trek up the river in July & the fishing season is in full swing in August & early September. Special boating rules apply during steelhead runs.
Location: From Sutherlin, go 12 miles west on OR 138, across Bullock Bridge & right 0.5 mile on County Road 57.
