| Description: The walkway at Beverly Beach takes you under the highway onto a long expanse of sandy beach which extends from Yaquina Head to the Otter Rock headlands. Windy days bring out kite flyers & windsurfers. Surfers can head to the big waves on the north beach, while rockhounds looking for 20-million-year-old fossils head south. Offshore sandbars keep the ocean waters warm here, which encourages waders & paddlers.
The campground is sheltered in a coastal forest, & an interpretive visitor center with a nature shop is near the campground. Campground amenities include 53 RV sites with full hookup, 76 RV sites with electric hookup, 129 tent sites, 21 yurts, five group tent areas, a meeting hall, & primitive sites for campers without cars. Some campsites & yurts have cable TV hookup.
