| Description: You had better get up early to go see Bullards Beach, because there`s so much to see here. 1226 acres covers extensive beachfront, estuary, & riverside land. If you drive all the way in, you pass through stable, vegetated dunes & emerge at the historic Coquille Point lighthouse & the jetty. Volunteers give interpretive tours of the lighthouse in the summer. Several trails of different lengths explore the dunes, beach, riverfront, & forest. Trails are variously open to hiking, biking & horseback riding. Birdwatchers take the nature trail between the campground & the lighthouse to watch the birds on the mudflats at Bandon National Wildlife Refuge, across the Coquille River. Shorebirds are often seen around the jetty. Crabbing & fishing are both good.
The campground contains 90 RV sites with full utility hookup, 95 RV sites with electric hookup, a horse camp which has eight sites with either single or double corrals, a primitive hiker/biker camp, & 13 yurts.
