Campground: Oregon Parks & Recreation Department, Champoeg State Heritage Area

Description: Trails run along the south shore of the Willamette River. Fish & boat in the river, or play disc golf on the park`s course. Regular interpretive & arts programs are scheduled throughout the summer months, including evening programs at the park ampitheater. Campground contains 46 RV sites with electric hookup, three group tent camping areas, group RV camping, a walk-in campground, & six yurts. Location: From I-5 south of Portland, take exit #278 & go west, following the signs, about five miles. Season: year round. Fee: $3 day use; $25 annual pass;see notes for camping Available: Biking Fishing Picnicking Boating (Non& Motorized) Hiking/Backpacking Visitor Center Group Campgnd RV Sites Exhibits Campgnd, Primitive Electric Hookup Interpretive Programs Drinking Water Dump Station Cultural-Historic Sites Restrooms Showers. Notes: Annual pass is good for all Oregon State Parks which require a day use fee. Higher campground rates applicable May one to September 30. Maximum site length is 50 feet.
