Description: 1000-foot elevation. Quiet, shady campground has 23 campsites on the Little North Santiam River. Fishing & swimming in the river. A two mile loop hike follows the river & the forest on the canyon rim. Location: From Salem, go 34 miles southeast on OR 22, then left on Elkhorn Road. Season: May 19 - September 25. Reservations: no. Available: Fishing Hiking/Backpacking Water Sports Camping Drinking Water RV sites Restrooms Boat Ramp. Notes: Water from a hand pump. Large trailers are not recommended.The front gate is locked from ten pm to seven am.
