| Description: 750-foot elevation. On the North Santiam River, near the foothills of the Cascades, you can spend the day (and the night) fishing, hiking, & playing games. Facilities include 39 campsites, all of which are accessible, two cabins, & 12 picnic areas. Day use areas also include two playgrounds, two volleyball courts, baseball fields, & horseshoe pits. Areas are available both for group camping & group picnicking, both accessible. A wheelchair-accessible nature trail along the riverfront offers insight into the surrounding riparian & wetland habitats. An ampitheater is available for weekend nature talks or for group use. A nature center offers more information about the surrounding ecosystem. Fishing in the river is largely catch & release.
Location: From Salem, go 32 miles southeast on OR 22.
