Description: Here, the Grande Ronde river flows through the Blue Mountains, offering a heady combination of mountain scenery with flyfishing, rafting, & swimming in the river. Camp among the cottonwood & pine, watch for beaver, mink & deer, & note the wagon ruts carved by thousands of 19th century emigrants. This area is important winter habitat for area elk & deer herds. 18 primitive camp sites. Maximum site length is 30 feet. Location: From La Grande, go eight miles west to exit #252.
