| Description: The park is on the north end of 53-mile long Lake Owyhee, which was created by the Owyhee Dam on the Owyhee River. The reservoir is surrounded by long desert hills & buttes, to the east of which tower the Owyhee Mountains of southwestern Idaho. Excellent fishing for black crappie, & for largemouth bass in the spring. Area residents include bighorn sheep, pronghorn antelope, golden eagles, coyotes, mule deer, & wild horses. Rockhounds love poking around the surrounding BLM lands for thundereggs & other geologic treasures. Campground facilities include 30 RV sites with electric hookup, ten tent sites, & two tepees.
Location: From Nyssa, go 33 miles southwest on OR 201.
