| Description: This 926-acre reservoir, created by the Unity Dam on the Burnt River, is a small oasis in the eastern Oregon desert.. Anglers can try their luck catching rainbow trout, smallmouth bass, & black crappie. The surrounding basin is part of a large depression which divides the Elkhorn Range on the north, the Blue Mountains to the west & the Ironsides Mountains on the south. Fishing, waterskiing, & boating in the reservoir. Campground facilities include 35 RV sites with electric hookup, a primitive hike- or bike-in campground, & two teepees.
Location: From John Day, go 50 miles east on OR 245.
Season: April - October; bad weather may cause closures.
