| Description: The small park is at the nadir of U-shaped Eel Lake, a prime destination for swimming, canoeing, sailing & boating. Fishing here is outstanding, particularly for bass, although other common species include stocked rainbow trout, crappie, steelhead, & coho. The fishing pier is wheelchair-accessible. All coho must be released immediately.
The grassy picnic area has a restroom & gazebo. A hiking trail goes around the south end ot the lake, or you can sail out to explore the many inlets off the two arms. Most of the land around Eel Lake is private, so avoid trespassing by attempting to land. The mixed conifer forest & lake shore are rich in wildlife, including osprey, cranes, eagles, deer. Campground accomodations include 115 RV sites with electric hookups, a primitive backcountry campground, & three yurts.
