Campground: Olive Lake Campground

Description: 6000-foot elevation. 24 campsites & a picnic area by 160-acre Olive Lake, high in the Blue Mountains. Fishing & boating on the lake; both gas & electric trolling motors are allowed. Nearby historic attractions include the Fremont Powerhouse & the old mining town of Granite. Trails nearby enter the North Fork John Day Wilderness are are open to horse & foot traffic. Hunting for white-tailed deer, mule deer, & Rocky Mountain elk. Location: From Dale, go 26 miles southeast on Forest Road 10. Season: spring - fall. Reservations: NO.
