Campground: Zigzag Ranger Station, Mt. Hood National Forest, Clackamas Lake Campground
Description: 3400-foot elevation. 46 campsites, with horse facilities at some sites, near Clackamas Lake. Fishing in Clackamas Lake. The Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail passes right by the campground, & can be taken north to Timothy Lake & Little Crater Lake, or south through the Warm Springs Tribal Lands to the Mount Jefferson Wilderness. Location: From Sandy, go about 45 miles east on US 26, ten miles south on Skyline Road, & east 1/4 mile on Forest Road 4270. Season: May 13 - September 5. Available: Fishing Picnicking Hiking/Backpacking Horseback Riding Drinking Water RV Sites Restrooms. Notes: 32-foot maximum RV length.
