| Description: 3200-foot elevation. 50 campsites on Timothy Lake. Fishing & boating in the lake. ten mph speed limit for motorized boats. A hiking trail circles the lake, & the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail passes by the east shore of the lake, leading north to Little Crater Lake Geological Area.
In the winter, there are miles of ungroomed snow-covered roads & trails. Shellrock Creek & High Rock, off Forest Road 57, are also available to cross-country skiers & snowmobilers who can reach entry points.
Location: From Sandy, go 66.5 miles east on US 26, nine miles south on Skyline Road (Forest Road 42), then about two miles west on FR 57.
