| Description: 2040-foot elevation. 34 campsites on the Wild & Scenic Sandy River. Fishing in the river for steelhead year round, for adipose-clipped coho salmon from September one - October 31, & for chinook salmon February one - July 15 & September one -October 31. FR 18 accesses the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail, which can be hiked north into the Bull Run Research Area or south into the Mount Hood Wilderness.
Location: From Sandy, go east on US 26, then 4.5 miles north on Forest Road 18.
