Campground: Wright's Orchard Station Campground
Located on the edge of Altoona , the campground is situated on a wooded hillside with sites to accommodate a variety of types & sizes of RV’s. A railroad theme is used throughout & reflects the railroad heritage of Altoona & the former Pennsylvania Railroad. One may park their motorhome along Broadway Limited Lane (named for one of the PRR’s passenger trains) or pitch a tent at Kittanning Point (after a railroad point close to the Horseshoe Curve). A special attraction in the campground is the large train layout in the camp office. Daryl has added a working turntable & quarter round house plus new track & trains for the 2007 season.
