| In 1974 The Army Corp of Engineers began The Raystown Lake Project as flood control for the Susquehanna Valley. The dam is 225 feet high & over 1700 feet long. It is located 21 miles north as the crow flies from Lake Raystown Resort & Lodge. The result is Pennsylvania's largest lake, the largest man made lake East of the Mississippi, & best place to enjoy fishing, boating, H2O sports & everything mother nature has to offer.
