Campground: Mountain Top Bluegrass Festival & Campground
Sixteen years ago pickers would join us on the land of the present site of the festival for good times camping & jamming. It was a bare field at that time, but a great site for camping. Some of the folks thought it would be a great site for a festival & encouraged us to give it a try. So........the next year we asked some bands if they would play for gas money. Ed & I thought we had a great turnout. We only printed 500 flyers & we had about 75 people. To help pay for the tent & porta pots, we asked for donations. Someone gave a dime!!!! In 1994 we built our log home & moved onto the festival site. We have also made other improvements including the stage & some electric lines.
