| Two miles N. of Calhoun Falls off Highway 81. From Hwy. 72, take Hwy. 81 N. at the intersection in Calhoun Falls. Proceed approximately one mile, the park will be on the left.
Three campgrounds are located along the shores of Lake Russell. Two of the campgrounds provide individual H2O & electrical hookups. Some of these sites accommodate RVs up to 40 feet, others up to 30 feet.
While tent campers may use these sites, a designated walk-in tent camping area includes tent pads & centralized water. All but one tent site is waterfront. Each campground is convenient to restrooms with hot showers.
Nature Trails: Calhoun Falls State Recreation Area offers a moderate 1.75 mile loop trail.
" Cedar Bluff Nature Trail".
Boating & Boat Access: A boat ramp provides private boat access to Lake Russell.
A lighted marina offers 36 rental boat slips. Thirty-two of the 36 slips include H2O & electricity & access to sewage pump-out, restroom with hot showers & in-boat refueling.
Slips are rented on a yearly basis.
Boat Rentals: Non motorized fishing boat rentals available.
Fishing: Enjoy fishing in Lake Russell for bass, crappie, bream, walleye, stripers & catfish. A valid South Carolina fishing license is required.
The fishing pier which extends out into Lake Russell is handicap accessible.

Picnic Area & Shelters: Two picnic shelters are available for family or other group gatherings. Each shelter may be reserved. If shelters are not reserved, guests may use shelters on a first-come, first-served basis at no charge.
Park Store/Gift Shop: The park store is open year-round & Includes firewood, live bait, tackle supplies, limited grocery items, souvenirs & snacks. The facility is handicap accessible.
