From Greenville: take Hwy. 276 W. for about 30 mi. Park is located at the top of the mountain right off the Hwy. The North Carolina border is three mi. away.
Primitive camping only.
The Mountain Bridge Wilderness Area offers trailside backcountry camping at 24 primitive campsites.
Eighteen sites provide fire pits, while six allow no fires.
Permits are required & camping is allowed in designated areas only.
Campers are asked to follow internationally recognized "leave no trace" camping practices.
Hiking Trails: A network of easy to strenuous hiking trails in the Mountain Bridge Recreation Area links Caesars Head & Jones Gap state parks. Registering with the park before using these trails is mandatory.
During daylight savings time the trails close one hour before sunset.
