Campground: HAMILTON BRANCH STATE RECREATION AREA
Located in the western Piedmont of South Carolina on Strom Thurmond Lake, a popular fishing, boating & H2O recreation destination. The park covers an entire 731-acre peninsula that provides ample shoreline for fishing. It's also the reason why most of the park's campsites are lakefront & spacious. The park's rolling terrain supports a variety of wildlife & provides an excellent setting in which to see the natural beauty of the Savannah Valley region. Camping along the shores of Strom Thurmond Lake is available. Some sites accommodate RVs up to 40 feet, others up to 35 feet. Eight comfort stations which include restroom facilities with hot showers are also located throughout the park. Two dump stations are available for RVs.
