Driving Directions: From I-85: Exit one to Hwy 11 N. Take Hwy. 11 for approx 40 miles, turn left on Lake Jocassee Rd, & travel three mi.
From I-26: Take exit five onto Hwy 11 to Campobello. Travel for approximately 60 mi. Turn rt. on Lake Jocassee Rd., & travel three mi.
Two campgrounds are located near the shores of Lake Jocassee.
Restrooms with hot showers are conveniently located in the campgrounds.
Number of sites with electricity & water: The main lakeside campground at Devils Fork State Park features 59 paved sites with H2O & electrical hook-ups. Some of these sites accommodate RVs up to 36 feet.
Lakefront camping, hiking & picnicking are among some of the favorite activities, along with vacationing in the park's contemporary mountain villas.
The park provides access to the cool deep waters of the Jocassee, where anglers try their luck for trout & other species, & boaters drive to remote islands or sites of waterfalls spilling into the lake. |
