1,000-acre park features outstanding rock outcroppings & views of the Foothills & Blue Ridge mountains. Rhododendron, mountain laurel & other mountain vegetation can be found along the streams in the park.
A museum tells the story of the Cherokee Indians who once roamed this area & their relationship with the European settlers of South Carolina.
A large rental cabin in a wooded area features an upper deck porch overlooking Lake Keowee & a private floating courtesy dock.
Other facilities include picnic areas with shelters, a campground, lake fishing & trails.
Ten paved sites have individual H2O & electrical hookups & can accommodate RVs up to 40 feet.
The designated tent area includes 14 sites with central H2O & individual tent pads & fire rings.
The campground is convenient to restroom facilities with hot showers. |
