| Convenience is the key word for this park. Right off Highway 52, the park provides easy access to four picnic shelters & 67 campsites. In addition, the large day-use area serves as an excellent facility for hosting family reunions & large group picnics. The playground equipment, bike trail & basketball/tennis court add to its popularity.
Pierson Ranch opened in 1959 & is the oldest campground in the area. It was the first campground to be constructed after Gavins Point Dam was completed. Located right between two other popular South Dakota recreation areas, visitors can take advantage of a wide variety of recreation opportunities in all three parks. |
