Campground: Blue Spruce Campground
Description: Elevation 7800 ft. six tentsites adjacent to Pine Creek in a spruce forest which makes for a pleasant, shady refuge throughout the summer. Nearby trailhead access to the Box section of the Box-Death Hollow Wilderness, along Pine Creek. Spur trail interects the Great Western Trail about one mile away. Location: From Escalante go 17 miles north on Forest Road 153. (Hells Backbone Rd.) Season: Memorial Day - Labor Day. Reservations: NO.
