Campground: Bear Lake State Park - Rendezvous Beach
Description: 5900 ft. 71,000 acre freshwater lake. 136 RV/tent camp sites & some tent-only sites. Includes a 1.25 mile sandy beach for swimming & sunbathing, & a group pavilion for large picnics. A fun annual event is the Mountain Man Rendezvous, a reenactment of early trapper gatherings. Bear Lake is known for its beautiful turquoise color which is caused by calcium carbonate crystals suspended in the water. Location: two miles north of Laketown, off UT 30. Season: year round.
