Campground: Currant Creek Campground

Description: 8000 ft. elevation. 99 single sites & four group sites near Currant Creek Reservoir. Three group sites can accomodate up to 25 people each, & one can accomodate up to 40 people. The reservoir is stocked with rainbow, cutthroat & brown trout, & the campground offers a wheelchair-accessible fishing pier. Currant Overlook, on the other side of the lake, offers scenic views of the lake & surrounding mountains. One loop of the campground is reserved for those camping with horses. Extensive horse trails run throughout the area. Mountain bikers can loop around the lake or else explore the surrounding dirt roads. A playground is available near the lake. Location: From Heber City go 45 miles on US 40 to Currant Creek Junction then 17 miles north on Forest Road 083. Season: May - October.
