| Description: 10,360 ft. elevation. 20 campsites on Butterfly Lake, one of a number of extremely lovely alpine lakes in the area. Trailhead across the road is for the Highline Trail, which crosses the High Uintas Wilderness. There is a stock loading ramp at the trailhead parking lot. Although the campground is sheltered by pines, there are fantastic views of the High Uintas from any clearing.
Location: From Kamas go 34.2 miles east on Mirror Lake Scenic Byway (UT-150). Road may stay closed into July, when the snowpack melts.
