Campground: Antelope Island State Park

Description: Elevation 4200 ft. The largest island (28,000 acres)in the Great Salt Lake serves as a recreational mecca which caters to diverse tastes. There are 75 campsites for those who wish to make an extended expedition of horseback riding, saltwater swimming, exploring historical sites, & watching the abundant wildlife, like the bison herd, the antelope, & the waterfowl. There are also historic homesteads & gravesites. Fielding Garr Ranch is the longest continuously lived-in house in Utah (1848-1981. Stay limit at campgrounds is 14 days. Location: nine miles west of Syracuse. Take 7.5 mile causeway to this island park. Season: year round.Reservations: available.
