This area of the Shenandoah Valley is known for its Civil War history and battle grounds, world-class caverns, small-mouth bass fishing & tubing or canoeing in the South Fork of the Shenandoah River. Antique shops, museums, Country Inns, Bed and Breakfasts & many mountain cabins for rent are close by. In addition, there are local vineyards where one can tour & sample wine & fine dining is available at many area restaurants.
