The star attraction at Lake Fairfax Park is the Water Mine Family Swimmin' Hole, a western theme activity pool with an acre of interactive play features, including Rattlesnake River, Box Canyon Crossing, slides & flumes - all designed with kids in mind. In addition, the park has an 18 acre lake with pedal boat rentals (please note that there will be no boat rentals throughout 2005 due to marina renovations), tour boat rides & fishing in both the lake & seasonally-stocked trout stream.
To sightsee, ride the rails: Metrorail is the quick & easy way to get to the attractions in D.C., suburban Maryland & Alexandria. From Lake Fairfax Park the closest stops are the Vienna, Dunn Loring, or West Falls Church stations, each about ten miles distant. Directions to the nearest Metro stop & maps of the local area are available at the camp store or park office. |
