| You will enjoy the clear spring-fed lake & sandy beach on a hot summer's day. You will find plenty of interests to keep your family entertained, or if you prefer a peaceful afternoon...come sit in the gazebo in our park. We have & can accommodate large or small group campouts.
With easy access on State Route 460, a major route running East & West nearly through the middle of the state end to end, we are just nine miles East of Lynchburg or seven miles West of the Appomattox National Historic Park; where you can re-live the drama of the closing days of the war between the states, where the actual "gentlemen's agreement" between General Rober E. Lee & General Ulysses S. Grant took place on April 9, 1865 in the McLean House. Traveling just about 30 miles West you will find the National D-Day Memorial in beautiful, mountainous Bedford County as well as the most visited National Park system in America, The Blue Ridge Parkway/Skyline Drive parkway system. |
