| Description: 63 acres of salt flats, wetlands, & beaches toward the southern end of Hood Canal. Visitors enjoy swimming, picnicking, fishing, crabbing, or strolling the sandy beaches. Freshwater fishing is available in the two creeks which run through, Big Mission & Little Mission. Saltwater fishing in the canal.
The campground offers 184 sites, including several walk-in tent sites, & 47 RV sites with utility hookups. Other facilities include a kitchen shelter, a large picnic area with some ADA accessible tables, ball fields, badminton courts, horseshoe courts, volleyball courts, & a playground.
Location: From Tacoma, take WA 16 north & west about 27 miles, eight miles south on WA 3, then three miles south on WA 300.
Season: year round; gates close at dusk. |
