Campground: Camano Island State Park

Description: 134 acres at the southern tip of the Camano Penninsula. Two boat ramps offer access for boats & jet skis; other visitors enjoy clamming, crabbing, sailboarding, waterskiing, swimming, & diving. Four miles of trails accomodate both hikers & bikers. A large picnic area contains a shelter which can accomodate up to 70 people. An ampitheater is available for interpretive programs or for group events. The campground has 88 campsites, & a group camp which can accomodate up to 180 people. Location: From Stanwood, go three miles west on WA 532, six miles south on East Camano Drive & Elger Bay Road, two miles east on Mountain View, then three miles south on Lowell Point Road. Season: year round; curtailed hours in winter. Reservations: no.
