| Description: 81 acres between Conconully Lake & Conconully Reservoir, created on Salmon Creek. Fishing for bass, salmon, & trout. Other visitors enjoy waterskiing & jet skiing the large lakes. A number of backcountry roads climb up into the Okanogon National Forest along Salmon Creek, & the west & south forks of Salmon Creek. In the winter, there is cross-country skiing, dog sledding, snowmobiling, & sledding in the area.
The town of Conconully was washed away in an 1894 flood, & the dam was built in 1910, the first Bureau of Reclamation project in the northwest. An early schoolhouse & a replica of the town courthouse are on the grounds.
The campground has 71 sites, & the day use area has a kitchen shelter, which is available for small groups. Horseshoe pits are also provided in the day use area.
Location: From Omak, go 22 miles north on US 97.
