| Description: 123 acres on Curlew Lake, in a wide valley. Many visitors enjoy fishing for trout & largemouth bass in the lake as well as in other area lakes & streams. Others go waterskiing, jetskiing, or swimming in the 5.5-mile long lake. Area archeology is also of great interest. A fossil dig site at nearby Stone Rose offers a look at life in the far distant past. Discoveries within the park, such as an ancient stone pestle & clamshells around an old fire ring, indicate the more recent past, when this area was a summer gathering place for indigenous people. Area wildlife includes elk, deer, muskrats, raptors, & various waterfowl, including an osprey pair which nests here annually.
The campground has 82 sites, including 25 with full RV utility hookups. Eight sites overlook the lake & offer a no-fee mooring dock. The group campground holds between 25-50 campers, although small overnight groups can use it as well. The swimming area has three braziers for cooking & a small day use area.
