Campground: Lake Easton State Park

Description: 516 acres on the Yakima River & Lake Easton, surrounded by old-growth forest, dense vegetation & freshwater marshlands. Lake Easton is a shallow reservoir, with fishing for trout. The picnic area has a nice swimming beach. In the summer, visitors explore the park on the hiking & biking trails, while in the winter, there are miles of groomed cross country trails & a snowmobile trail. Campground has 140 sites, including 95 for tent campers & 45 sites with full RV hookup. A walk-in, tent-only group campground can hold up to 50 people. Location: From Cle Elum, go 15 miles west on I-90, & take exit 70. Season: year round; sno-park permit required in winter. Reservations: call 800-452-5687.
