| Description: 170 acres of ocean beachfront, dunes, & shore pine forests. This park is part of the Pacific Flyway, an important migratory trail for shorebirds & waterfowl. Offshore, gray whales & other sea mammals migrate seasonally as well. Clamming for razor clams in season. This lush beach has stunning wildflower displays in the spring. Vehicle traffic is allowed seasonally on portions of the beach, in accordance with posted regulations. No boating facilities, but jet skiing & diving are popular offshore. Native American artifacts, including various cooking, hunting, fishing & clothing items found in the area, may be viewed at the Ocean Shores Interpretive Center. Beach combers still occasionally find glass floats on the shore, washed in from Japanese & Russian fishing boats.
