| Description: 47 acres on Osoyoos Lake, which stretches 14 miles between the US & Canada. The lake is actually formed by a wide area in the Okanogan River, a cool & shady oasis in an arid region. Fishing is good for smallmouth bass, rainbow trout, & kokanee salmon. A bathouse is provided for swimmers. Other visitors enjoy boating, waterskiing, & jet skiing on the lake. In the winter, an area is cleared for ice skating, & many also come to ice fish.
Some of the land in this park was donated to the state by the American Legion. In 1998, veterans groups erected a plaque & memorial that dedicate the park to all veterans who have served their country in wartime or in peacetime.
The campground has 86 sites, most of which are shaded, & some of which are near the lake. Winter camping in the day use area parking lot. The picnic area is equipped with one kitchen shelter. Other facilities include a horseshoe pit & a volleyball park.
Location: From Oroville, go about 0.25 mile north on US 97.
Season: year round, gates close at dusk.
